I hope you enjoy this week's cartoon. I struggled over my own
Fly on the Wall cartoon to get it right -- it addresses a touchy subject.
Alas, I'll bet the defense department could raise lots of money selling
sponsorships...take a look and you'll see what I mean.
Have a great week-end!

Hello Kenji,
If only the car dealerships would go along with this... Here are this week's cartoons
about you...    01/12/08

Finally -- you have no idea how long I've been wanting to tell you that we've redesigned your CartoonLink member page... and now it's done! When you follow the link above to view this week's cartoons, you'll find them nestled in a brand new, greatly improved page lay out.

One of the first things you'll notice, is that the interface has changed substantially. Check along the left hand side of the page and you'll find links to the current cartoons for all four active features. Immediately below the cartoon, you'll find convenient links to "The Best of..." galleries for Animal Bytes, Fly on the Wall, High Finance, Name of the Game and Women at Work, as well as a new "Most Recent Cartoons" gallery.

Along the right-hand side, you'll find all the familiar functions, to send postcards and print various personalized items, but you'll also see several new functions displayed. Most importantly, we've put all the list administration functions much more out in the open, so you can more easily change your name, e-mail address and gender references (the cartoons default to male if you never indicated your gender when you first signed in). You can also unsubscribe more easily.

You'll also find a few completely new links. You can invite a friend to join CartoonLink, using a new module which sends a personal invitation in the form of a postcard from you. You'll also find several items of interest if you're in the advertising business or have a website of your own. For instance, our personalized cartoons have been used as the basis of many record-breaking direct mail campaigns over the past twenty years, and you can now use your member page to view our advertising portfolio and request a quote for your own campaign.

You can also become a sponsor of CartoonLink. And -- coming soon -- you'll be able to sign up as an affiliate and put a cartoon postcard module on your site and earn revenue. I'll keep you posted on that one. You're also welcome to buy 11" x 14" prints of any of the cartoons you see in your member page -- and they do make great gifts (hint, hint!) You'll also notice that we're planning to offer entire books of our personalized cartoons -- I'll have to keep you posted on that one as well. Unfortunately, these will not be ready in time for the holidays; they're still several months away.

All in all, this new member page should be a welcome improvement over the old one. It's designed to accommodate a lot of new things to come in the months ahead, so keep watching. I hope you enjoy the new page and, of course, the new cartoons!

Your personal cartoonist,

Stu Heinecke
